We tear out the old fence and haul it off the same day. Then we set galvanized steel posts 24 inches deep in concrete. The concrete cures overnight, then the cedar pickets go on with screws, never nails. Plan on two to three days on site; a straight 150-foot run with one gate often finishes in two. You get the price per linear foot in writing before anyone digs, and the yard is swept before we leave.
